Origami is a Japanese art of folding paper. You can turn a boring sheet of paper into a 3D marvel only using your head and your hands. Origami began sometime in the 6th centry after Buddist monks brought paper to Japan. The Japanese word "Origami" came from the roots "ori" meaning fold and "kami" meaning paper. Back when origami was first invented, paper was a luxury so paper folding in ancient Japan was only for religious ceremonies.
